The product is in essence a mosquito trap. However, there is much engineering and technology involved in it that delivers a sophisticated solution in eliminating mosquitoes within the immediate area of up to 100 feet of the device. The primary object drawing mosquitoes towards humans is the smell of CO2 emitted by human bodies, followed by octenol and lactic acid, followed by the color, light, and movements and lastly the heat and moisture that attract the mosquitoes to its source.
The product has engineered a system that combines all of the above factors and using certain gases and chemicals, attracts the mosquitoes to the device where a fan blows the mosquitoes into a container from which they cannot escape. This process kills the mosquitoes and ensures that nuisance to humans from mosquito bites, irritation, and risk of mosquito-borne diseases is greatly limited.

The initiative saw early signs of success in 2012-2013, when Mr. Kulkarni and Mr. Joshi, along with another entrepreneur procured 50 units of the product and demonstrated its use and effectiveness in combating mosquitoes. A few units were successfully demonstrated at the houses of certain A-list celebrities in Mumbai and almost all of them were subsequently purchased and permanently installed at those houses. Other units were demonstrated in schools and colleges in various parts of India and although the product itself was successful in demonstrating that it eliminated mosquitoes, there was some initial hesitancy on account of the product being unheard of in the market.
