VP Sub Sea Grout
Marine-Grade Grouting for Underwater Infrastructure
VP Sub Sea Grout by Vigour Plethora is a specialized anti-washout grout formulated for the harshest marine environments. It is engineered to displace water effectively and harden in submerged conditions without losing its structural integrity.
VP Sub Sea Grout is a specially formulated blend of sea-water-resistant binder, Portland cement, carefully graded aggregates, anti-washout agents, and performance additives. When mixed with the recommended amount of water, it produces a free-flowing, uniform grout slurry that can be easily poured or pumped into place.
This ready-mix, non-shrink cementitious grout is designed specifically for underwater and seawater applications. It effectively displaces water and sets and hardens underwater with minimal washout, ensuring durable and reliable structural performance.
Effectively displaces water during placement
Sets and hardens completely underwater
Resistant to segregation and bleeding
High resistance to impact and vibration
Easily placed by pouring or pumping
Excellent resistance to seawater exposure
VP Sub Sea Grout is ideal for underwater and marine grouting applications, including restoration and structural strengthening works such as:
Bridge columns, piers, and piles
Marine structures and foundations
Dams and spillways
Slipways and jetties
Underwater concrete reinstatement

VP Sub Sea Grout must be mixed using a high-speed mechanical mixer with full bags. Add water in two stages and prepare only the quantity that can be placed within 10–15 minutes.
Immersed grout typically requires no curing
Sections above water should be cured for at least 7 days
Formwork is recommended to remain in place for the same duration
Surfaces must be clean, sound, rough, and free from oil, grease, laitance, and loose particles
Clean surfaces using high-pressure water jetting
Smooth surfaces should be roughened by scrabbling or sandblasting
Immersed substrates can be prepared using high-pressure water jets
Metal surfaces (steel or iron) must be free from rust, scale, oil, and grease
